My uncle saw the premiere! He said it was pretty good but none of the songs the nuns sing from the movie are in the show. But overall, it's supposed to be good.
I really loved the original movie.
Wouldn't it be crazy if whoopy, Kathy Najimy, Maggie Smith, and other notables from the original movie cast did a one off.
I can see why they'd not have songs sung in the movie. Weren't most of the songs in the movie popular songs that have licensing issues. I wouldn't mind seeing the Sister Act musical. Britain is getting this Disney production first again like Mary Poppins
Sounds like the number Whoopi Goldberg did in the movie of the same name.

I always thought that remake were worst that the real deal...
But...
Im not really into musicals (Read - Never been to one) but from what i have heard it is supposed to be good.
I remember Whoopi being on radio one when she came over to watch the first show on the opening night and from what i remember she loved it :)
Said it would be too much effort at her age to star in it though.
My friends saw it and loved it
