FUCKING A!

FUCKING WIN, AMERICA. FUCKING WIN!!!!
YAYY!
Seriously, you have earned back the respect that you threw on the floor and trampled on in 2004 when you reelected that ape Gdubs.

I know it's only a matter of time before the reality of all politicians being inherently lame and or evil will set in and a repeat of the Tony Blair shine rubbing away to reveal not all that much afterall, but the fact is, you guys stood up to actually change, and Obama represents change, which is almost more important than the policies he's specifically standing for. So kudos to you, left leaning democratic america! And screw you, rightwing people!! Sca-roooooo youuuuuu!

I don't know what this is, it's 4.21 am. shhh.

Bryony...
I'm a little offended with that last remark there. I'm a right-wing American. I have my reasons for my political opinions, and I am certainly entitled to them.

I'm so excited!! We've loved Obama since it was him vs. Hillary!

One cannot say that this was totally unexpected. It is what happens when a government loses sight of who it serves. So now we need to ask what do we want to accomplish and is it doable?

Bryony, there are Americans who consider themselves right-wing because we believe that limited government equals more individual liberty. We believe in the importance of free speech, property rights, and privacy, as outlined by geniuses like James Madison in our constitution. Some of us aren't necessarily social conservatives, who focus more on issues like abortion, gay marriage, etc. We instead focus on the liberty that our Founding Fathers fought for, and won't let go of those freedoms easily. If this doesn't sound like George Bush, it's because George Bush is only a social conservative. He's never been worried much about the freedoms outlined in our Constitution, as you can see from the Patriot Act and the recent Wall Street bailout.

I wish I was 18 just so I could vote for Barack. I was there when my Mum did, though, and I helped campaign for him.

I wonder if an Obama will bring more favorable, future outcomes for the UK than a McCain.

lol @ the butthurt republicans here. Bryony is just as entitled to her opinion just as you are of hers. It's the internet, after all.

And fuck yeah, now America doesn't have to look like the crooked-assed, right-wing, war-mongering, god-fearing bunch of fatties that everyone has stereotyped us to be. Well, scratch the last one, most of America is still a bunch of fatties. Maybe Obama will invent a diet plan too; you know, as part of his horrible socialist plan to destroy America, that the right-wingers so desperately tried to make everyone believe.

They had six of eight years to get us into this mess, so hopefully the Dems will get the same amount to straighten it back out.
