Dear internet and tv/web media

Dear internet: FUCK YOU!!!!

I want to watch this. But because I don't live in America, you don't give a fuck about me, and as I am not marketable to, you forbid me to watch your video.

Do you realise what that means?? It means the only option for anyone who wants to watch this video, which you have arbitrarily decided we can't watch, is for them to illegally download it. Or to not watch it, of course. Alternatively we crime lords can try the miriad web-proxy sites and fear for our e-lives as we are infested by viruses (in vain, as they never work ANYWAY).

AARRGHGHHHH FUCK YOU INTERNET!! FUCK YOU!!!!!

Media companies: Modernise, or die. We live in worldwide times. People want to watch what they want to watch. And they will watch it one way or another.

I have the same problem with the BBC. They won't let you watch,
Taking James Bond For A Spin - Friday Night With Jonathan Ross

But the will let you watch,
"Sarah Palin" Porn Script read by Thandie & Ricky

It don't figure. The media must really hate the public. It reminds me of the W C Fields line, "Never give a sucker an even break"

And because I live in America I couldn't watch the Doctor Who Xmas trailer last season on the BBC website...it happens. Do what I did, watch via a local proxy server so that the website thinks you're somewhere that you're really not. Simple as that!

I feel your pain but do you really have to curse so much? I mean what would God think!

I live in Canada and am able to view it (usually Im forbidden; I share your pain).

U speak the truth. It makes absolutely no sense to region limit the net 4 video. Isn't regional limitation why anybody turns to the net to get more variety

Works both ways. I can't watch most UK shows from the official sources either. But I still get the stuff I'm interested in.

There's one more option: find someone who can see the material who is savvy enough (and willing) to record and/or rebroadcast stuff for you. That's crossing the legal line too, of course.

Yea… that’s a bummer, I can’t watch most of the BBC Internet stuff ether… Its been hard to get any of the zombie “internet” movie documentary stuff that hasn’t been posted else where… I don’t get why they would block the flow of information, aren’t viewers, viewers no matter where they come from?

bryony, u dont kno me...im just a faithful subscriber of ur yt channels (cuz i like ur personality and enjoy ur humor ^__^), but i can totally relate. im currently in south korea and during this past summer olympics, i wanted to watch the live feeds of the games on the nbc website. here in korea, they only broadcasted the korean team stuff, with of course, korean-speaking announcers. (they rly suck too..saying the most obvious of things, such as "here she goes..and she jumps! and she lands! here she goes again, gaining speed..jumps! and lands!" u get the point) but since im "outside the damn effin country, the damn effin video is UNAVAILABLE." i even emailed nbc, but to no luck of course ='( *sigh* just wanted to share that with u, cuz i kno wut ur going thru.

Just like JimB up there said, there are a lot of shows I want to watch on BBC from here in America but we cannot. I suppose it's due to licensing, etc.

Like other people have said, I'm from the U.S., and I'm not allowed to watch BBC shows online only because I live in the U.S. It works both ways.

Good Lord you don't 'alf moan a lot don't you.

It's nothing personal...It's just the same as those poor blighters over in the states who can't get live footy on the BBC radio feeds.

Hang the lawyers I say

Here is a gift from me

'hotspot shield'

Google it...it makes streaming a bit slower but... oh god I sound like such a geek....I should be writing about cool things...anyways yes! Google it and download it and activate it whenever you're on a US site, its virus free and lovely. If you want to make things go quicker activate it when you get onto the site then when the content starts to load (eg its allowed you through the golden gates of free teevee) then just click the little button on your toolbar thing.
It's 100% mac friendly because I use it on my macbook all the time.

I can't tell you the amount of times this little gem has helped..I used it to watch Men In Black the other day...best few hours of my adult life.

Because I'm not anywhere in Britain, I can't watch BBC online content, including everything about the zombie movie you're making. Or any of the Doctor Who or Torchwood online content. I feel your pain.
